Objectives
The objective of the CCA programme is to enhance the performance of supporting staff and learners, in the performance of their duties in the administration of justice by:
- Equipping candidates with the required knowledge and skills to enable them to provide quality service in underpinning the legal system.
- Enhancing the appreciation basic of knowledge and skills in office management, customer care, and financial transaction procedures.
Enhancing Career Opportunities
CCA is designed for Deputy Sheriffs; Court Bailiffs; Court Clerks; Dikgosi; Customary Court Presidents; Debt Collectors; and Executive Secretaries in private law firms, and others in related profession.
Successful completion of the requirements for CCA programme will allow articulation to diploma level programmes.
Entry Requirements
- Candidates must have obtained three credits at BGCSE (or equivalent)including English language.
- Higher qualification will be an added advantage.
- Special Entry: Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of two years uninterrupted work experience in a relevant or related field will be considered, or upon satisfying the requirements of the Academic Board.

Objectives
The Diploma in Court Administration builds up on the foundation laid in the Certificate in Court Administration Programme offered by BA ISAGO. The specific objectives of the programme are to enhance the capacity of supporting staff in the performance and administration of justice by equipping learners with:
- The required knowledge and skills in court administration to enable them to provide quality service.
- Appropriate legal skills and knowledge to broaden their understanding of the environment in which they work.
- Basic understanding of financial transaction procedures within their work environment.
Target Group
The programme is designed for those intending to work in the legal or para-legal related fields which require an understanding of the justice system and its implementation.
The qualification is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career, for example, in the Department of Administration of Justice, non- Governmental organisations, Tribal Administration, and other law enforcement agencies either in Government or the business world.
The focus of the diploma is to provide learners with the requisite knowledge, skills and competencies in areas related to Court Administration.
Entry Requirements
- At least four passes at BGCSE level or equivalent, including English language OR
- Have successfully completed the Certificate in Court Administration OR
- Certificate in Law or its equivalent from any recognised institution.
- Special Entry: Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be used as an instrument for further assessment of mature-age entry candidates.

Description
Objectives
The Diploma in Law programme will equip groups like the police with the necessary legal skills to enable them to more effectively carry out their duties. It will also provide critical training and impart relevant legal skills to court clerks in magistrate and customary courts, court interpreters, court reporters, court bailiffs and legal secretaries. Students who study for and successfully complete the programme would have enhanced opportunities to work in various capacities in the courts as well as pursue successful careers in law firms and the police service.

Entry Requirements
- Candidates must have obtained at least four (4) passes at BGCSE (or equivalent) including English language. OR
- Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant 12 months Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) recognised and accredited Certificate Programme in Law or its equivalent. OR
- Special Entry : Candidates who do not have minimum academic qualifications stated above but have a minimum of three years relevant work experience will be considered. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be used as an instrument for further assessment of mature-age entry candidates
Programme Structure
- The Diploma programme will run over duration of twenty-four months for full- time learners and thirty months for part-time learners (four semesters in twenty four- months, consisting of six months each
- Learners will be required to undertake work learning attachment/research project within the first semester of second year before completion of the programme.
