Orientation

The Division plans and organises intense and extensive orientations to new students, as well as availing vital information about every supporting Division within the University. Academic orientation is also provided by academics within this period. When the need arise orientation is also provided to returning students.

During orientation emphasises is placed on respect, good conduct, sound manners and moral integrity. This is linked with social issues encountered by tertiary institution students, such as Drugs Abuse, HIV/AIDS, early pregnancy or parenthood, financial management problems, drop out due to peer pressure and other problems. To reinforce what goes on during the orientation, students receive Students Handbooks and Orientation Packages.
